Rubery Owen Supports the United World Schools Programme Whilst Looking After Staff and Colleagues
December 18, 2020Rubery Owen has contributed 21 days of education to the United World Schools programme, supporting the education of children in countries such as Cambodia, Myanmar, and Nepal.
We achieved this through purchasing Tropic bodywash for our recent care packages. These packages were sent to staff and included sanitising products, PPE, and personal treats to share with loved ones. Keeping our staff and their families safe during this uncertain time is incredibly important to us, and to our Board.
It’s so important to support causes like the United World Schools programme, to reach villages during the pandemic with supplies of soap, sanitation, and running water. It is also important to ensure boys and girls receive equal standards of education, to improve global literacy rates, and provide more opportunities for a higher quality of life. Contributions provide the resources for building schools, teacher training, and classroom equipment.
Tropic has currently funded 2,088,949 days of school education, supporting 92 schools for a year, and educating 11,055 children for a year.
We are proud to have played a role in this achievement and look forward to continuing our support in the future. We believe every child should have the opportunity to receive an education.
