Shukers Launch Youth Initiative
May 08, 2018Shukers are proud to announce a new initiative for 2018. Each year Shukers will select some lucky individuals and support them in their aspirations. This could be a career, sport or charity venture.
Here are the 2018 Shukers Youth Programme (SYP) team.
Michael Lloyd (top)
Michael, a student at Haberdashers’ Adams Grammar School, approached Shukers to be his client for his A Level Design qualification. This required him to work with a business for a year, consulting with them to produce a piece of work designed specifically for them. After meeting with Michael and viewing some of his previous designs, they were excited to work with him and commissioned a piece for their showroom. With the state of the art surroundings, including Land Rover's stunning vehicles, he has his work cut out for him. More about Michael's progress on the piece will be promoted on the Shukers LinkedIn company page.
Oliver Neill (middle)
Shukers were really pleased to be able to help Ollie who lives, breathes and sleeps rugby. He has played for Worcester Warriors Junior Academy and Midlands Hurricanes RL and his dream is to reach semi-pro level and one day, professional standard. He is currently in New Zealand for 3 months playing for the Christchurch Old Boys so he can further develop his skills. Shukers are amongst a few organisations who have helped Ollie with sponsorship for his trip.
Ryan Crees (bottom)
Ryan is a Sales Executive at the Shukers Aberystwyth branch and is in training for Iron Man Wales 2018 which takes place in September. The Iron Man is a triathlon consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bicycle ride and a marathon 26.22 mile run, raced in that order and without a break. Phew, we're tired just thinking about it! Shukers are proud and excited to support Ryan with this incredible challenge and he is raising money for the fantastic Welsh Air Ambulance, a great cause.
